Environmentel issues

One of the major environmental issues in Newfoundland and Labrador is cutting down trees (deforstation). Many of the trees in Newfoundland and Labrador was cut down by the pulp and paper industry. Newfoundland and Labrador has taken action so it isn't the worst possible thing to happen. Recycling is highly encouraged and the reuse a lot of paper to turn into newsprint. Even though there has been action taken there are still trees being cut down daily.
Due to global warming our world's climate is changing. In Newfoundland and Labrador this is common and there are more things attached to that such as rising sea levels and intense weather events. You may thing this is more of a global issue but in effects Newfoundland and Labrador, over 90% of the population of Newfoundand and Labrasor is located in part of the "arctic" part of our world. The whole world is being effected by this problem but the arctic area suffers the most.
